The move came as President Donald Trump declared himself the “father of fertility” and unveiled Moms.gov along with revamped federal resources for new mothers.
The Trump administration announced the new workplace benefits rule on Monday in Washington, DC.
The proposal from the Labor Department would create a new category of fertility benefits for employers.
Those benefits would cover the diagnosis and treatment of infertility.
The plans would be treated as “excepted” benefits, similar to dental or vision insurance.
