Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche has announced plans to meet with Ghislaine Maxwell on Thursday in Florida, where she is serving a 20-year sentence for her role in Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse of underage girls. The meeting comes amid ongoing scrutiny over the handling of Epstein-related files.
Maxwell’s attorneys have confirmed that she is “in discussions” with the government. The former associate of Epstein, now 63, was convicted in 2021 and is currently held at the Federal Correctional Institution-Tallahassee (FCI Tallahassee). Her legal team has appealed her conviction to the Supreme] Court.
Trump, who has called for the media and public to move on from the Epstein matter, previously criticized the continued focus on the case, saying, “Are people still talking about this guy, this creep? That is unbelievable.” On Truth Social, he dismissed the issue as “bulls**t” and accused critics of his stance of aiding Democrats.
